Abstract

Cost effective care in nursing implies the need for effective resource management. Injurious workload requires management intervention for sustainable productivity and job satisfaction. Thus the traditional philosophy of nursing and its meta paradigms can longer be divorced from best human resource management (HRM) practices for optimum output and actualization of set goals. On this premise, this article reviews
the core concepts, which are common contemporary nursing theories.
