A Study on the Importance of Entrepreneurship in the Economic Development of Nigeria
Abstract
This analytical study investigated the importance of entrepreneurship in the economic development of Nigeria. A mixed approach of quantitative, qualitative and participatory
methodologies were used for data collection, analysis and output. Primary data gathering strategy was purposefully aimed at connecting with community leaders at the grass-roots. Raw data were collected using survey method since they have the capacity to generate large amount of data which can be statistically analysed. A
Sample frame of selected communities within the six geopolitical zones was randomly surveyed and initial pilot study of one community from each zone was used to test-run and inform decisions on the final strategy for the entire research project.
