Nigerian Education Curriculum Reforms and Attainment of Secondary Education Objectivies: A Philosophical Evaluation
Abstract
The paper made an etymological incursion into the term “curriculum”. It analyzed the factors that necessitated the Nigerian curriculum reforms. It as well synthesized the “how” and the objectives of the
secondary education curriculum reform. The paper articulated the philosophy that guided the curriculum reform, and a critical evaluation of the reform was demonstrated, in view of its possibility of attaining the secondary education objectives. Some recommendations were proffered.
