Effect of a Cognitive Training Programme on Secondary School Students’ Creative Thinking Skill
Abstract
The study examines the effect of a Cognitive Research Trust training programme on secondary school students' creative thinking skill. The sample consisted of 142 subjects. Of this number, 72 were experimental while 70 were for control groups. Two hypotheses guided the study. Instrument used for data collection was Creative Thinking
Test (CTT). Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed significance difference in the mean performance in favour of the experimental group. The findings have also shown that female students performed significantly better than the male students on creative
thinking test.
